Senegal holds the first round of its presidential elections today. Please use this as an open thread for election news and reactions. If you are on the ground in Senegal, we would love to hear from you.

  1. In Dakar, Ouakam it is calm so far and a lot of people have been giving their vote. In the evening a crowd was waiting for first results in front of the election office. On the streets everyone is walking around with a radio on the ear.
