Nigeria Elections Open Thread 2

Today Nigerians are voting in National Assembly elections. The elections were delayed after logistical problems last Saturday, and outstanding difficulties mean that some 15% of the country will not vote today, but will instead cast their votes during the state elections on April 26.

Monitors from the European Union and the United States, including Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Johnnie Carson, are in Nigeria to observe the vote.

Various web resources for following the elections have cropped up online this week, including a special Google portal for Nigeria (h/t Karen Attiah).

Let us know what you hear about today’s elections, and I will try to update with major news.
