Biography: James Boyejo (1928-2011) was born in Ijebu Ode, present-day Ogun State. In 1955, together with Samuel Olusegun Odunaike and Friday Chinyere Osuwa, he helped found the Nigerian branch of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel (ICFG), an American Pentecostal church established in 1923 by the famous preacher Aimee Semple McPherson. ICFG was brought to Nigeria by American missionaries. Boyejo served as national pastor of the Nigerian branch of ICFG from 1955 until 1980, when he moved into various administrative positions with the church. He was a key participant in founding the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria around 1985. From 1996 on, he spent much of his time preaching in the United States. (Sources: 1; 2)
